Introducing the 2024 Conference
Get ready to explore the captivating world of the science and perception of healthy skin ageing and longevity at the 2024 conference. This exciting event will unravel the facts and perceptions around skin ageing while exploring the connections between health and skin ageing, longevity and the quest for timeless skin beauty. The conference promises to reveal insights into effective preventative and functional skincare strategies; sparking innovative ideas to emerge and pave the way for new product development concepts. Our goal is to enhance your understanding of the state-of-the-art science and thinking in this space through four in-depth sessions:
S1: What is Healthy Skin Ageing: Discover the processes and factors influencing healthy skin ageing and the mechanisms by which these shape our appearance, relate to the health of our body and endure over time.
S2: Achieving Healthy Skin – Technological Approaches to Well-Ageing: Navigate a world of new active ingredients and concepts, backed by the latest science and detailed mode-of-action studies that support their benefits and claims.
S3: Assessing Skincare Benefits and Advertising Claims: Dive into diagnostics and efficacy testing methods as they relate to the assessment of healthy skin ageing, gaining insights that guide informed decisions in clinical and in vitro studies, as well as advertising claims
S4: A Future View of Well-Ageing: Peer over the horizon to where science, consumer perceptions and insights converge and see how these are shaping the future of well-ageing (healthy ageing) skincare.
At the core of this conference lies the theme of well-ageing (healthy skin ageing): looking and feeling younger and healthier for longer. The interplay between health, well-being and youthful looks is a trend that has seamlessly merged health and skincare. With insights from medical advances and a deeper understanding of ageing, we now appreciate the role of lifestyle choices, nutrition, and tailored skincare routines in extending our healthy lifespan and thereby maintaining healthy and younger-looking skin.
Today’s engaged consumers are committed to well-ageing, health and longevity – from superfoods to cutting-edge skincare that harnesses innovation. Well-ageing represents the process of growing older in a manner that promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being and high quality of life. It involves adopting a holistic approach that encompasses healthy lifestyle choices, social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and emotional resilience to mitigate the ageing process. Well-ageing emphasises the importance of proactive measures, including skincare and self-care, to enhance holistically one’s physical health, cognitive abilities, and emotional satisfaction, ultimately contributing to a fulfilling and active later life.
As we embark on this journey together to increase our collective knowledge, we will undoubtedly advance innovation in this emerging area of anti-ageing science. Esteemed experts from around the world have been invited to present at the 2024 conference. The expert panel, interactive sessions and informal conversations at this event create a platform for sharing innovative ideas and insights.
This conference is a cornerstone of both academic and industry science and collaboration in the anti-ageing personal care category. For two decades, it has been a testament to the industry’s commitment to consumers to launch innovative, functional skincare products based on strong scientific understanding and consumer insight that reflect new trends and stand the test of time.
