Christian has more than 20 years of microbiology experience from both academic and industrial environments. He earned his master’s degree in biology at the University of Würzburg with additional studies at the Universities of Frankfurt and Naples (Italy) and at the Max-Planck-Institute. With regards to pharmaceutical microbiology, Christian is specialized in the fields of microbial quality control, microbial identification, and phylogenetics. He is currently working as a Global Technical Services Manager for Charles River’s Microbial Solutions team.
Matt Smith - Sr. Director of Sales, Veltek Associates, Inc.
Matt has been working for Veltek Associates for over five years. Prior to working for Veltek, he has held multiple senior positions in technical sales for over 20 years. He has been fundamental to the launching of VAI Labs and is looking to grow the division exponentially over the next several years. Matt has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Delaware and a Postdoc position at the University of Pennsylvania.
